Adidas Hellas Watch Concept

3D Modeling & Rendering, Industrial Design 2 Comments

This was one of my pride projects in which we were to choose an existing watch, model the band in 3d then come up with our own design for the watch face. At first a seemingly simple process, but for a beginner in modeling with rhinoceros this task turned out quite daunting. These final renders grew out of many sleepless nights, and dozens of pages of sketches.

In this classy re-design i enhanced its appearance and at the same time integrated Greek culture and symbols in a subtle way. The style and materials all work together to create a strong yet elegant look which is what i was going for.

Somewhat disappointed in the rendering capabilities of Rhinoceros and Flamingo i found my initial renders dull and unimpressive. Having played around with 3d Max for a few years i had certain expectations and when i had some free time later on i was able to experiment on my own without the limitations of the project.

The final renders were produced using Maxwell Render, and were my first attempt at using this program. Since i have started i have refused to render with anything else because of the ease of use and quality renders.

Here is the initial presentation and renders of my design:

Here are the maxwell renders i have since re-done:

Let me know what you think!
Thanks,

Thanks for that. I moved away from Greece when I was really young, and I really want to rediscover my heritage. I’ve been trying out a lot of random greek recipes, and the best I’ve found yet is this greek recipe – it totally remind me of my childhood. I dont remember much of it except for the lovely smells and delicious food on every street.
